Data Deletion Request

Your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days of your request.

In accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and our Privacy Policy, you have the right to request permanent deletion of your DTT Ireland account and all associated personal data.

How to Delete Your Data

Option 1 — Delete from within the App (Recommended)

The fastest way to delete your account and data is directly from within DTT Ireland:

  1. Open the DTT Ireland app
  2. Tap Profile (bottom navigation bar, rightmost tab)
  3. Tap Support
  4. Tap Delete Account
  5. Confirm the deletion when prompted

Your account and all associated data will be scheduled for deletion immediately and permanently removed within 30 days.

Option 2 — Email Request

If you no longer have access to the App or prefer to request deletion by email, send a message to:

Please include the email address associated with your DTT Ireland account so we can locate and delete your data. We will confirm deletion within 5 business days.

What Data Is Deleted

A full account deletion removes all of the following from our systems:

  • Your Firebase Authentication account (email address, user ID)
  • Your complete study progress (questions answered, scores, streaks, XP)
  • All exam results and practice session history
  • Spaced repetition data and bookmarked questions
  • Scenario Mode performance records
  • Language preference and app settings
  • Any notes or flagged questions

What Is Not Deleted

  • Anonymised aggregate analytics — usage data that cannot be linked to your identity may be retained in anonymised form
  • Crash logs — diagnostic crash reports, which contain no personal information, may be retained for up to 90 days
  • Purchase records — your Premium purchase transaction is retained by Google Play / AppGallery as required by their payment policies; we do not control this data

Timeline

Upon receiving a valid deletion request (via in-app or email):

  • Your account is deactivated immediately — you will be signed out
  • All personal data is permanently deleted from our Firestore database within 30 days
  • You will receive email confirmation when deletion is complete (if you contact us by email)

Note on Premium

Deleting your account removes all app data but does not affect your Google Play or AppGallery purchase history. If you reinstall DTT Ireland with the same Google Play account, your Premium purchase can be restored through the in-app Restore Purchases option. However, your study progress will not be recoverable as it will have been permanently deleted.
