About DTT Ireland
Built by an Irish developer, for everyone preparing to drive in Ireland.
DTT Ireland started as a personal project. Like thousands of other people, I went through the process of preparing for the RSA driving theory test and found that the available apps weren't good enough — especially for the growing number of people in Ireland who don't have English as a first language.
So I built the app I wished I'd had. I wanted something that covered all the real RSA questions, simulated the actual exam format, and worked in the languages that real people in Ireland actually speak — Polish, Ukrainian, Portuguese, Arabic, Urdu, Romanian, and Irish.
Scenario Mode came later, from the realisation that memorising answers is very different from understanding how to make good decisions on the road. The 60fps simulation engine was an engineering challenge I'm genuinely proud of.
DTT Ireland is independently developed and maintained — not affiliated with the Road Safety Authority (RSA) or any government agency. All questions are sourced from the official RSA question bank and are kept up to date.
Why we built this
Ireland has one of the most diverse populations in Europe. Over 800,000 people in Ireland were born outside the country. Every one of them — regardless of their first language — needs to pass the same RSA theory test to get an Irish driving licence. DTT Ireland exists to make sure language is never the barrier between a person and their driving licence.
